What we collect
Account details (name, email, optional phone and profile photo), event details you publish, and — when you buy a ticket or RSVP — the name, email, and phone you enter so the host can admit you and reach you about the event, plus your answers to any questions the host asks when you RSVP (for example dietary needs). Card numbers go directly to Stripe; Gatherly never sees or stores them. When a host confirms that their event took place, which is what releases their payout, we also record the IP address and browser they confirmed from, because that confirmation is a financial record.
How we use it
To run the product: deliver tickets, check you in, send reminders, pay hosts, prevent fraud, and improve Gatherly. Hosts see the guest list for their own events (name, email, phone, check-in status, and your answers to their questions), and can download it.
What we share
Stripe (payments and payouts), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), Supabase (hosting), and Vercel (hosting). We don't sell your personal information. Public event pages show first names of attendees unless you turn that off in Privacy settings.
Location
“Near me” on Explore uses your device location only in your browser to sort events; it is not sent to or stored by Gatherly.
Your choices
Update or delete your profile from the You tab. Opt out of texts by replying STOP. To delete your account or exercise rights under California law (access, deletion, correction), email hello@gatherly.events.
Retention
Ticket and payment records are kept as long as needed for tax, refund, and dispute purposes; abandoned checkouts are deleted within hours. A host's confirmation that their event took place is kept permanently, along with the IP address and browser recorded with it, because it is our record of why we released that payout. Your answers to a host's questions stay with your RSVP for as long as the event exists, including after a refund or if you cancel, so the host's guest list stays a complete record; you can change them from the event page while you're going. Abandoned checkouts take their answers with them.
